Was developed a comprehensive software system based on a BIM model to manage the lifecycle of construction components, ensuring timely ordering, precise tracking, and efficient integration of prefabricated parts. This solution enhances project efficiency, organization, and quality control through seamless BIM integration and robust management tools.

Proper construction lifecycle management, BIM integration, and efficient handling of prefabricated construction elements are crucial for maintaining project timelines and ensuring overall construction quality.
Challenge
In building construction, numerous prefabricated parts, such as foundation elements, concrete structures, windows, and facade elements, are used at various stages. A key factor in the success of a construction project is the ability to effectively organize the process for these parts, including timely ordering from suppliers, managing delivery logistics, on-site storage solutions, precise installation, and rigorous quality control. Proper construction lifecycle management, BIM integration, and efficient handling of prefabricated construction elements are crucial for maintaining project timelines and ensuring overall construction quality. Coordinating these activities effectively is essential for the seamless execution of construction projects.

Solution and delivered value

To ensure end-to-end control of the construction component lifecycle, NATLEX developed a comprehensive software system based on a BIM (Building Information Modeling) model. This BIM model, created before construction begins, assigns a unique identification number to each component. This identification number links all relevant documents and information throughout the construction process.

This solution facilitates seamless BIM integration, improves construction lifecycle management, and ensures precise tracking and management of prefabricated construction elements. The result is enhanced efficiency, better organization, and improved quality control in construction projects.

The developed system has the following functionality:

  • A large number of built-in integrations and an open API for easy addition of new integrations with third-party systems, such as concrete producers, window manufacturers, facade manufacturers, and other external companies.
  • Ability to print QR codes on stickers with additional information for easy tracking of parts during storage, installation, and transport.
  • Visual display of a 3D building model with one-click access to information associated with each element, including delivery notes, movement history, quality control data, current installation status, and more.
  • Customizable color indication of elements on the 3D model based on installation status, delivery date, available repair information, and other criteria.
